There are jumping competitions and all kinds of rabbit activities out there, but we are talking about off-leash agility training. This is what it looks like (and check out the happy body language this rabbit is showing – this is an engaged and satisfied rabbit!)
Notice the poster for this video, Barbara Heidenreich, mentions that this required several 5 minute sessions to teach. This may be a tiny bit misleading, since her rabbit most likely already understood the basics of clicker training and target training. In other words, the more a rabbit learns, the easier it is to teach new stuff.
We’ve already talked about clicker training in previous blogs. Next up, guest blogger Joan Orr, a Karen Pryor Method clicker trainer and author of “Getting Started: Clicking with your Rabbit”, is going to give us a quick clicker training refresher, then move on to target training instructions.
For those of you who might be Rocky fans, we just have to include this. The little jacket just slays us. And man can this bunny run the weave poles!
